A gifted artist since old enough to hold a crayon, I have developed an interest in many diverse media. From oil paints to clay sculpture, pen & inks to chalk pastels, I've tried to master as many disciplines as possible. But my greatest strength has always been my skill with a pencil & the ability to convey my thoughts on paper.

My experience of art software has followed the same path. Once I've learned a package, I'm eager to tackle the next. While the likes of Deluxe Paint & CorelDRAW may have gone the way of the dinosaurs, there are plenty which haven't. During my degree I was introduced to Photoshop, a program I still use 20 years later. Not only did it open the door to the rest of the Adobe Creative Suite, but it also allowed me to enhance my more physical artistic abilities.

Since 2001 I have worked in the live events & television industries, doing on-screen graphics & conceptual visuals. More recently this has branched out into printed media as well.

Oh yes, I'm also the singer/lyricist/saxophonist in a rock band!
work experience
I have worked for a number of production agencies & audio visual companies, either as a full time employee or on a hired-in basis. While officially titled as graphic designer, these roles have included presentation design, video editing, motion graphics animation, conceptual visualisation, storyboarding, voiceover acting &
live graphics operation.
education
I have a bachelor's degree (hons) in graphic design, supplemented by A Levels in art & design, English literature & computing.
In addition to my formal education, I have used my free time to study astronomy, geology & ancient history.

In addition to my artistic abilities, my key skills revolve around learning computer software. I am experienced in the following packages:
Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, Apple Keynote, Macromedia Flash, Inscriber and Aston caption generators. I am currently learning Dataton's Watchout multi-display system & Wix web development platform.
