Yes, we have a rock band. No, you'll not have heard of it. It probably has a lot to do with us not having a name yet (or a bass player, which is frankly way more important!) It's early days. But we do have our own recording studio & a few songs under our belt. Watch this space...

After annoying all the guys at work for weeks gassing about Zeppelin, Slash or the Chili Peppers, Sil & I were told to "stop talking about music & actually play some." So we started jamming together whenever we could. He'd make the strings sing while I crooned along or played sax, but two people & a load of ambition does not a band make. We needed some fellow conspirators.

When Matt started working with us everything started falling into place. He plays guitar & banjo, is a professional sound designer & was just looking for an excuse to turn his garage into a recording studio. In addition to all that he's also a great composer. I'd give him a copy of lyrics I was writing & he'd take them home for the weekend. By Monday morning he'd have arranged a whole song around it & even recorded a demo track!

Dan is very much on our wavelength, I can chat to the dude for hours about astronomy or gaming & when the 3 of them are together the conversation somehow always gets onto motorbikes (guess I'll be driving the gear to gigs then!) One day Dan was complaining about not having the space to keep drums in his flat, so I brought my half-size kit into work & set it up in the warehouse. Matt & I gave him an impromptu audition that evening & were amazed at how quickly he picked up songs he'd never even heard before.

So now we have  nearly all the ingredients in place & we're already writing music together. Not bad for a wannabe covers band. I'm hoping to get some fully produced tracks on here soon. Once we've found a bassist who jells with the vibe, we'll be looking for gig venues in the Northampton area.
